This 100-Hour Yoga Teacher Training module is the first half of our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate program.
Upon completion of the second 100-Hour module you will qualify to register with Yoga Alliance as a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200).

OVERVIEW
Do you want to become a certified yoga teacher, but cannot get away for a month-long training? This two-week, 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Module is designed for you! All participants completing the program will receive a 100-Hr certificate. After completing the second 100-hr module at a future date, you will be qualified to register as a certified Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance.
This program is also ideal for those who simply want a two-week immersion to deepen and expand their yoga practice – a life-transforming experience!
This format allows students to accelerate learning, while taking a break from the demands of everyday life.
Marinayoga was established in 2008 as a center for yoga and healing. Marinayoga is registered with Yoga Alliance USA to provide 200 & 300-hour Yoga Teaching Certification and is a certified Continuing Education Provider for registered teachers to keep their qualifications up-to-date.
Situated in a natural setting about 3km from Ao Nang Beach, near Krabi in southern Thailand, the center has two shalas, a classroom, on-site accommodation and a fully equipped kitchen for all to use. We have a variety of rooms to suit every budget, from a large (air-conditioned) dormitory, to bamboo bungalows, to deluxe rooms with air-con and kitchenette.
We keep our student groups small (max. 12), and look after them with a large group of experienced teachers, ensuring ample personal attention. There are teachers on-site 24/7, with a diverse array of knowledge and experience in teaching, mentoring, coaching and healing.
As well as the scheduled yoga classes, the center offers a broad range of healing modalities, including reiki, sound-bowl healing, massage, shamanistic journeys and more.

CERTIFICATION
Upon completion of this yoga teacher training module, students will receive a certificate. For more information, please send Marinayoga an inquiry.
Beginner or intermediate level yogis can join the course for a deep immersion into yoga practice and philosophy. Aspiring teachers can attend to begin their certification process. A second 100-hour Yoga Teacher Training Module at any time in the future will qualify you to register with Yoga Alliance USA as RYT 200.
All courses at Marinayoga are designed in accordance with Yoga Alliance standards and guidelines as well as traditional yoga culture and customs.

Each class is thoroughly taught, drawing on the different strengths of the teachers.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
You will advance your yoga asana practice and gain a deep understanding of yoga beyond the physical postures. As well as two asana practices each day, there will be daily meditation sessions, pranayama and kriya techniques, history / philosophy / theory lectures and workshops on alignment, adjustments and teaching methodology.

DAILY SCHEDULE (TYPICAL)
Classes are 5–1/2 days a week (we finish early afternoon on Saturday, and take a well-deserved day off on Sunday).
A day during the training module might look something like this:
7–9am Asana/Meditation
9–10am Breakfast
10am–12pm Lecture (for example: anatomy, philosophy, asana alignment, methodology etc.)
12–2pm Lunch
2–4pm Practice and/ or asana alignment workshop
4–6pm Self-study / visit the market
6–7.45pm Asana practice, observation and meditation
8:00 pm Dinner

Marina Frei
Marina was born in Berlin on 17 August 1959. She became interested in healing at a very young age. This passion led her to a lifelong studiy of many healing modalities, including homeopathy, psychology, diving medicine, emergency response, reflexology, shamanism and
Reiki. Marina is a Reiki Grand Master and has been practicing and teaching this Japanese technique for over 30 years.
Marina moved to Krabi, Thailand in 2000, working first as a diving instructor, then opening her own diving center, and later working as a paramedic. During this period, she heard a deeper inner calling and turned her focus to yoga, which she had been practicing for many years. In 2008 she travelled to India where she completed her hatha yoga 200-hour teaching training course. Upon her return, she opened Marina Yoga and has been teaching yoga and meditation ever since. In 20XX she travelled to Bali for a 300-hour YTT, qualifying her Yoga Alliance’s: E-RYT500.

LOCATION
We are located in a secluded, natural setting 3 km outside of Ao Nang Beach, in Southern Thailand.
We have access to the neighbour’s swimming pool and restaurant, a mere two-minute walk away. You can use one of our bicycles (free!) or hire a scooter.

Marinayoga offers yoga and meditation classes, yoga teacher training courses and a wide range of holistic healing techniques such as Reiki, ear candles, sound bowl treatment, acupuncture, shamanistic Journey/healing and life coaching.
Marinayoga has evolved with a vision of offering a harmonious space for yoga, spiritual healing and personal growth within a natural setting. Her vision integrates principles from Marina’s vast experience in a range of holistic practices. She believes that yoga is for everyone, and people should not be discriminated against on the basis of their ability when it comes to practice. She believes that everyone is simultaneously both a student and a teacher. Marina works closely with her team of experienced and well-qualified yoga teachers to create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all who come seeking to transcend themselves. Marinayoga has many rescued dogs and cats who have found a safe shelter here. All pets are friendly and well trained. If you are afraid or dislike animals, this may be a great opportunity to address your issues.

GETTING HERE
We recommend flying into Krabi International Airport, which is only 30 minutes away by car. We can arrange for a car to pick you up at the airport (500THB). Alternatively, Phuket International Airport is about 2–1/2 hours away. We can also arrange a car to pick you up there, or you can use the bus (or take a boat, weather permitting).

Alessio Zuccalà (Alex)
Alex was born in Rome Italy in 1972. In his twenties, while pursuing studies as a project manager in building and construction Alex became interested in many other activities, from artistic gymnastics, pentathlon, to sky diving and more. In 1999, he began to approach the practice of yoga, following the teachings of a great Yogi, Enzo Russo, from the “Italian Academy of Yoga” (since 1969). With great motivation Alex developed a growing interest in ancient yoga techniques. He began constantly studying and practicing to become a certified yoga teacher. With thousands of hours of experience, he has made this a true philosophy of life. In 2006 he went to India to deepen his knowledge about different yoga techniques, such as Hatha, Kundalini, Yin, Pranayama, Kriya Yoga and more. He explored and tested the real and tangible benefits of these practices on mental and physical health. In 2009 he decided to live in Southeast Asia. Among the various possibilities, he chooses to settle in Thailand, where he follows his passion for yoga, Reiki, and teaching ancient techniques full time to anyone who is interested.
Liat Kim
Liat began her yoga journey in 2008. With no prior background in physical activity she was surprised to discover how right Yoga felt Through its challenges, Liat recognized in Yoga the great connection between body and mind, which slowly took over a large part of her life. Since 2010She has taught Vinyasa flow yoga in Tel Aviv, Israel in various groups and venues. She also enjoys exploring Yoga’s multiple approaches, including as Iyenger, Hatha, and Yin, as well as Ayurveda, Meditation and Buddhism. For the past few years, she has turned her attention to studying Philosophy and Yoga Anatomy. Liat is also a Level 2 Reiki practitioner, and has taught in TTC’s all over the world. Yoga for her goes beyond connecting with herself on the mat to an inspiring philosophy and way of life.
Nick Williams
Nick is a practitioner and researcher of healing and transformational arts. Nick was born in California and was introduced to Yoga at an early age. He holds a degree in philosophy as well as certifications in yoga, Reiki and massage therapy. For the last ten years he has trained extensively in Ashtanga, Kundalini and other modalities of Hatha yoga. Nick draws from his diverse interests and strives to fill the gap between theory and practice. His classes focus on sharing the experience of yoga as a practical philosophy for life as well as a functional method of understanding the body and the mind. Nick’s hobbies include traveling, learning new languages, playing music and reading fantasy literature.
